Lucky. Today I went to petsmart to "only" get a couple cories for my 55g--my real intention was to convince my mom to let me get another male betta. Unfortunately the plan didn't work. There were many beautiful betta's there, but in the end I was unable to convince her and ended up leaving bettaless...Maybe she'll surprise me with one for my birthday...

That just gave me a cool idea. Every year, my entire family does an Easter egg hunt. Maybe this year I could try including a few bettas in the hunt-of course someone would have to write down where they all were hidden just in case one was missed.

I got a new male betta today! He's blue with mostly white fins-there's a bit of green and red on them too. Because of the red, white, and blue I decided to name him Spangle. My camera died so I couldn't get a picture of him though. Right now he's staying in a spare breeding net in my 55g. It's not huge but it's a lot bigger than the container he was in.

Here are some pictures of him but they aren't very good for 3 reasons. 1. The net masks his colors. 2. I'm not great at taking pictures. 3. My camera's not very good when I have to use the flash. I'll try to get better pictures some other time.
