marine betta's?

I was considering getting a marine betta, any likes,dislikes? concerns? i have a 40 gal tank with algae blennie, 6 line wrasse and little bit of live rock...15 lbs.

Good fish, pretty peaceful, very, very hardy. However gets a bit big for a 40, and you must provide somewhere for it to hide else it will simply make somewhere and hide 100% of the time. Some cover will make it less secretive. A 2 inch one would be worth a try if you can provide a decent cave away from the 6 lines bolthole

i have never heard of a marine betta! are they like a salt water betta species or an entirly different fish?

I think a forty would be fine, my boss has had one for about 13yrs no joke...and hes not the most diligent person when it comes to tank maintance. His is only about 4-5inches long

some places say reef safe and some dont? anyone have problems with reef system?
