marine salt is good for a saltwater acuarium?

people in the forum: maybe you can help me much more than I thought, I want to know if the commercial marine salt is good for begin a saltwater acuarium; or there are not some trace compounds that must be required?:confused::confused::confused:

I believe most of us buy salt mix from the pet store/fish store/aquarium store. It is especially made for aquariums, and contains the correct mix of trace elements.

Some marine research centers here do provide treated seawater that's available, and some fish stores also sell treated seawater. I have no idea what is available to you in Colombia. If you're near the ocean, it's possible you could collect your own, if it's not too polluted.

Lotus, I live exactly in the middle of Colombia, in Bogotá, so that´s the problem for collecting seawater. i am trying an experiment with mangroove fiddler crabs and commercial seawater from a natural food store; and the results are good. Maybe it could be a good and cheap resource, but here in Colombia many cheap things are in a long term expensive...
