I have seen this a lot with mbuna at the shop i work at, but i just noticed it on my m. estherae. I'm gonna separate the fish, but i wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions for the best way to treat.

Thanks!

Are you sure its mouth rot? To be honest, I have NEVER seen a mbuna with it.
Abnormally swollen/red lips, cotton-esque growth around the mouth. I think in terms of seeing it in a shop, it may just be from fighting. But in this case i have not noticed any lip locking or anything of the sort from this fish. So that was my assumption as to what it was.

Good good :) I was curious if it actually was though, because as I said, I've never seen a mbuna with it. I've never even heard of mbuna getting it, so you could have made medical history or something ;)

Unfortunately the condition got the best of him today...two days later. At his last point he seemed to be pretty much disintegrating at the head and fins. Not sure what it was but im gonna look into it. The other 11 fish in the tank are fine, water params perfect, i'm not sure what happened.
