Mbuna Question

I think I am confused on what Mbuna is or what you mean by it. Can someone give me a quick 50 words or less, what Mbuna is or means? Cichlid-Man, I know you said I had a bunch, and you said that an Elec. Yellow, aka, Yellow Lab is one... so I am a little confused.

mbuna = rockfish from africa specifically lake malawi. they are too many different mbuna to count well over 500. they also tend to be aggresive. I am not sure if that answers your question. but if you have any more ask and someone will answer c man definitly knows his stuff

Well looks like these 2 answered your question.

They are "Rock Fish" because they tend to stay in the rocky habitats of the lake....being mostly algae grazers, thats where the algae grows on the rocks.

Hence my Mbuna joke: What does the Mbuna order when he goes to the bar.......algae on the rocks.
