my 55g tank is a barebottom tank and was wodering since its barebottom if there should be any debris on the bottom. there are debris on the bottom so does that mean that my filter is not doing good mechanical filtration or is a few debris fine?
well there always be debris on the bottom of a barebottom tank unless your filter output is pointed down directly on the bottom, thus keeping any detrius suspended in the water column until the filter can grab it
