Is melafix supposed to turn your water cloudy? Or is something seriously wrong with my tank?

It can turn the water cloudy. Is it a milky cloudiness?

Yes. It's really thick and I can barely tell what kind of fish I'm looking at if it's in the back of the tank. Hopefully a water change will fix this (The two really sick fish died and one only has a tiny bit of fraying on its fin, so I don't think the Melafix is doing much good.) Now my only problem is dealing with the plants that died from lack of light.

How much did you pour in and in what size of tank?

I've never had cloudy water from it. A little bit of foam on the surface but that's it

Yes, must admit, never had cloudy water in my 270 litre tank...........use sure you gave the rights dosage? and what are you using it for?

I have used Melafix. It did make the water so cloudy you could barely see after a few days of the recommended dosing. I used a bare hospital tank. Your plants may suffer from lack of light. Water changes will clear it up though. One of my fish died, two others got better. Good luck
