Melefix worries

Will Melefix hurt scaleless fish i.e. loaches/guppies? I was wondering this so i could add to my 29 gallon tank without worry of injuring or harming my other fish that have no scales? None in this tank show signs of finrot but i would like to treat this tank as well as a precautionary measure.

Melafix is very gentle on fish. I have used it many times in tanks with scaleless fish. You should treat when you have some time to check on the fish, just to make sure they're not having a bad reaction to any med. If they are, a large water change should be done.

One thing to always remember is to treat the amount of water that's in the tank, so you should guestimate the volume that the gravel, plants and decorations take up (10 to 20 percent, probably) and treat the water accordingly.

yea mine is 30 gallon tank but with gravel and such i only get in about 28 gallons of water
