I just bought this stand (not from Big Als...but it's the same stand)

I have my 25 gallon on top and my ten gallon on bottom. It is made for a 20 gallon high, but my 25 gallon has the same footprint (24 inches wide). It fits perfectly on top. I used a level and made sure it was sturdy, and also made sure it was evenly spaced over the top before I added the rest of the water, but it still wobbles...a teeny bit...does anyone else have a metal stand that wobbles a little? It's not like it sways like it's gonna tip over but still I am so used to having low wood stands where it doesn't move a bit. Luckily it's too high for my fat cat to jump on so it's not going to move at all, but if I push on the tank slightly, I can feel the stand moving, too.

I use metal stands for all my aquariums. However they are all welded together and do not wobble at all. It really should not move. Is this one you had to put together? I know at my local fish store they stopped selling the put together ones due to customer complaints of instability.

Yes, it was already put together when I bought it (it was a display one that I asked if I could buy) although it only had an empty display tank in it.
I guess I'm not really all that worried since it is level and doesn't exactly sway, it just wobbles and that makes me a bit....nervous.

I've got two metal frames and they both have some wobble to them altho the tanks are perfectly level depending on where on the floor I put them. If it is perfectly flat or on the linolium then there is no wobble to it, but on some spots of the carpet there is. My guess is that wood allows the stand to give a little more and to conform to the floor under it, where metal will not.

If your worried about the tank warping stick some styrofoam under it.
