Metal Halide lighting

Im new and i am setting up a tank. I just need one questions answered on lighting.

Ive found " 150W 150 watt 20000K HQI DE Metal Halide Aquarium Bulb" and 70wat/150wat sockets. The lights are thin and long kinda like a long hot dog. Will two of these grow coral fine in a 18" deep 65 gallon tank?

yes they will but you need more than the bulbs, you will need the fixture that they go in......the 20K range is very blue though and you may want to go more to the 14K range.....

I went down to 10k, i should of got 14k but anyways i got 150watt fixtures

10k has no blue in it , 20k has too much blue , 14k is the perfect balance! now if you have actinic supplements thats a whole differant story and in that cause 10k gives off the best par to grow corals

yup the par difference between 20k and 10k is pretty big.
Had probs growing lps on a 55 and 80 with 150hqi 20k, but with a 10k it grew pretty well.

Can anyone recommend me somewhere to get live rock? Cheapest i can find is $3.99 a pound but there really small pieces. Also how bad are bristle worms?

bristleworms aren't always bad, they clean the substrate and all...but if you feed 2 much you can have a problem, they sting like hell and can damage corals and fish.
4$ a pound is pretty cheap but i dunno what it's worth.
