Here's the question.....

Is there any reason why I can't run a 100/150w MH bulb from a 70w ballast?

Anyone who has ever checked this out will realise that 70w MH HQI's only come in 3000k and 3900k. So unless you know where I can get a 10000k or even 6500k 70w HQI MH bulb in the UK I'd like to buy a 150w 10000k and use that.

Might be not enough amp to start the lamp.

I am sure they are out there. Considering AB is made in Germany?, you should somehow get a hold of them.
