metal halide

I just picked up a 250 watt 13,000k metal halide light bulb from my local LFS, I normally use 10,000k lights, I notice this light looks alot more Actinic than the 10,000K ones Ive bought in the past, have any of you heard of this b4?

well yeah it's more blueish than the 10000k, it's like a deeper lighting.

thanks, ya I didnt know if it was because my balast wasent powerful enough to run it

no it should be more blue then a 10,000k because it's 3000k deeper but good luck i wanna see pictures of your reef when you get to it
