microaglae from the beach...

i was at santa cruz beach one day and iv picked up some green micro agae...

i was sure if it was safe so i just threw it in my 3g with nothing in it right now expect live rock.

it seems to be doing great but i havent put any lighting on it so not sure how fast it will grow...thats if it survives....

it should be safe right? has they have the same effect as chaeto?

when i was at the beach the water came in from the north so its freezing cold...im guessing 50 degrees F. cuz me feet got num...
