I recently purchased a midas cichlid from Petsmart, and the lady told me that the fish needs a pH of 8.2...seems odd to me because it is a central american fish. Could someone who knows better give me the correct pH, because I have my doubts about 8.2. I was assuming 7.0 would be the correct pH. Thank you.
