Millenium Powerfilter

Does anyone have any experience with the Millenium powerfilter by Marineland? It looks like a cool mechanism, but maybe a bit of techie overkill. Opinions?

I dont think they are made by marineland, ive heard good and bad things, nice things being when you change media you dont destroy bacteria and that it works like a wetdry somewhat, but ive also heard they are pretty loud, i was looking into getting one but the price drove me off so thats a problem too, more expensive then a nice emperor or aquaclear and dont come as powerful

Yeah they are made by Marieland, Ive got the ad right in front of me from my newest AFM. They look pretty sleek but havent seen any reviews on them to be sure it i would take the gamble. They make 4 sizes :

Primo Multi-Filter / 2-15 gallons
Millennium 1000 Wet/Dry Multi-Filter / 10-15 gallons
Millennium 2000 Wet/Dry Multi-FIlter / 15-40 gallons
Millennium 3000 Wet/Dry Multi-FIlter / 30-60 gallons

Im not sure what they mean by multifilter or wet/dry, but overall it looks like a nice filter and i really like and preffer Marineland products so if i were in need of a filter i would try one out.

Yeah, that's where I saw them. But, I just swapped three of my old Whisper filters for Penguins. This would just irk the hell out of me if this system proves to be superior.
