Mixed fish/amphibian/lizard tank?

I was wondering if anyone has ever tried this before and can suggest some species that would be suitable for a mixed fish and amphibian/lizard tank? I'm investigating suitable lizard/amphibian species separately but was wondering if anyone could advise on some fish species that may suit this setup or if anyone actually has some experience of this kind of thing and could offer some advice? Any suggestions? The tank will be tropical and preferably with a south american/amazonian theme. Smaller species will probably best be avoided because of the co-habitants.

Hello; Never directly tried what you are suggesting. Might be hard to find a combination where no one is trying to eat the other. Did set up a tank with frogs and a water snake once. The snake ate all the frogs.

Oh dear :p. I was thinking maybe some cichlids and maybe a salamander or axolotls... or even just some tree frogs.
