Saw these at what I consider to be probably the most reputable lfs in my city. I'm 90% certain that their dyed. The come in about 4 different colours. Bright blue, green, pink and orange. Can someone verify for me that there is no natural breed of "Mixed Fruit" Tetra's. I would have said something, but I wanted to make sure. If so I'm pretty disappointed in them for having them. Their the best lfs in the city, take good care of all their stock, tons of plants and supplies.

Gotta be dyed.

I don't know exactly what species of tetra is being used....I saw some around here that looked to be black widow (aka black skirt), the albino variety and they were dyed too. May look neat but the poor fishes health is comprised because of this.

They resemble Silver Tetra's the most, but might be x-rays as well. I'm going from memory here as to what they looked like.

Red I saw them at Pisces Pet Emporium which you might have heard of here in Calgary. I'll still deal with them as they have the best selection of pretty much everything in the city, but I'll mention to them that those fish are dyed. See what their attitude about it is.

As you said Toodles it may look very striking such bright colours, but at what harm to the fish. They had 2 full tanks of them. And I know that earlier they had a tank full of ones that looked to be dyed an electric blue, and they were gone like that. People like them, so they'll keep selling them. Most people don't know any better.
