Mixing Cichlids

I have a small school of tiger barbs and have been wanting to place some cichlids in the tank. Is this not possible because of the cichlid aggression towards other community fish?

The fish has to much aggression I've not seen to many things last. You may put fish in with them and say oh well few weeks/months went by with no one dead.... But I d say you'll lose them. Usually limited to what you can mix in this kind of fish species IMO.

Yes you can but the 22 gallon is kinda small... Maybe GBR's although they are harder to care for. Maybe bolivians or apistos, although the tank is still kinda on the smaller side.

well, i do have three good sized otto's i would not want to be picked on... which is where i see my first problem. i have plenty of hiding spots for all my fish.... ahhh, i do a 25% water change every two weeks with a 50% change once a month. any more info needed?

Also, i have had my eye on the electric yellow colored fish. forgot the name....

I assume this is the 22gal tank then.

No on the electric yellow fish, or any other African mbuna.

At best, MAYBE some rams or apistos.
