Mixing live rock and sand

people say mixing live sand is good but does mixing live rock making it better?
i was planing to get about 6 types of LR. that adds up to 35 lbs.

scratch that im just getting 3 types...of live rock and as much sand as i can get,

It doesn't matter either way if you mix live rock, just pick pieces that look nice to you. You might get some more variety in the little critters in it if you get rock from different areas as compared to picking rock out of one tank in the LFS. Not really sure... it doesn't make the rock any more beneficial to be from different areas though.
