i currently have a tank setup with mbuna cichlids, how would they get along with some haps in the mix ? there is plenty of hiding holes and teritories for them, do they eat the same type of food ?

The haps tend to get pushed around by the mbuna and generally struggle, particularly with the more agressive kinds of mbuna. If you had just electric yellows you might get away with it, with for example auaratus or ps. elongatus for example it's a no hoper.
Diet can be a problem too, though possibly not - again, depends on the fish - some mbuna are obligate vegetarians, some are not, and some are definitely not. Haps are not, but a hap diet can cause mbuna dietary problems.
Which mbuna, how big a tank is the usual question.

i also ask "Which mbuna, how big a tank is the usual question?"
second you will have problem with malawi bloat cuz most mbunas are vegetarians while Haps arent... also even the "wild" mbunas will get eaten after a while from haps since they get to big...
example nimbochromis species...

I wouldn't put any haps in there either - you seem to have a good mix of most of the nastier mbuna - you don't see too much scrapping as they've pretty much got mutually assured destruction sorted out
