we bought 6 algae eating shrimp - caridina japonica about 2 months ago. 1 committed hari kiri in the first 24 hrs ( exited our tank was found half way on the floor to the kitchen very dead) the others are thriving (although for a long time we thought we'd lost another as we never saw 5 together until the other day that is we definitely have 5 survivors)
my question is how big do these guys get....ours were tiny (about 1cm) & now 3 of them are nearly 4cm long (one is about 3) we keep expecting to come home to find one with a neon in its paws....munching away with a smile on its face.........arrrgh!! not really they never bother anything....but would just like to get an idea of size... (no im not planning a prawn curry with them honest!!!
