Moonlight

Does anyone know of any actual benefits to having a moonlight in a freswater tank? Other than just looking cool.

Some people with a lot of nocturnal/bottomfeeding fish like it because it gives them better observation of those fish. But i guess that fits in the looking cool category. I don't think it has a benefit to plants or anything, those require pretty strong lighting for the most part, blue spectrum, etc etc.

ok thanks, I'll use it anyways 'cus it does look cool. I see your a fan of the Corydoras too. I have three in my 20 gallon and they are one of my favorites, the most active.
