Nope, never heard of them or used any of their products.

Cold Cathode lighting is also popular for moonlighting. I have heard some people say they do not like the look of the LED's because of the 'spotlight' effect that some have. The CC light is one long single bulb, so you do not get that.

I really think that will be the nest purchase I make for my tanks. I have cut back flourescent lighting on my planted tanks to 12 hours, but really miss those last few hours of viewing time late in the evening between 9 and 12. The LED lighting is the answer to that, but I think I'd have to go with the smaller one. 10 LEDs sounds like too much on a 29gallon tank or a 20gallon long, both tanks being 30 inches long.

Couldn't you just get a blue ropelight and wrap it around your flourescent tubes? that would make a somewhat blue-ish light wouldn't it? The only problem I can think of is the very small amount of heat from the tubes melting the plastic on the rope lights. but you may find some other probs like spotlighting or something else.

i got a led light strip, except its kinda weird its for computers and plugs into a usb port. It has a led on both ends (inside the tube) and then wiring in the middle or something that reflects the light. and it has a switch box that gives me 7 colors i can chose from., i'll get some pictures when my camera is charged.

i got my lite at circuit city, but you can find it here:
Click here then its th ILM LED

if you dont want it for your tank, you can use it as a strobe light that flashes to the beat of whatever music you are playing.

And the adapter, is a Zip-Linq AC Wall Plug to 5V USB Adapter which i got for 6 bucks after shipping.

I like the led just because it just gives off enough light to see the outline of the decoration/plants directly under it with light rippling (from surface movement) giving it a mysterious look. I've seen the cold cathode lights and to me they seem to be to bright for the fishies to really have rest time. Could be wrong. :p
