I am moving across country in September (approximately a 15 hour drive away) and was wondering what the best way would be to bring my fishies along with me. I am going to be driving, and it will probably be an 8 hour drive, then a night in a hotel, then 7 hours the following day. Any suggestions?

Thanks!:D

are u on the oscarfish bbs? just askin

best way ive heard is to get a rubbermaid and put water from ur tank in and go buy a battery operated air pump from walmart either in the pet or huntin/fishin department, then get one of those sponge filters that go on air pumps and place it in there, put some rocks and stuff so the fish can hide, feed them before u put them in the rubbermaid and then when u get to the hotel do a water change and continue ur trip.

I'm getting pretty good at transporting fish...

Here's my method, Coleman cooler - drain hole is siliconed shut. Then you run to your local auto parts store, get yourself a 400w converter. Gives you A/C power in your car... thus you can run a submersible heater, and standard air pump.

Get yourself an air driven fiter, start running it in the tank at least a good month before the move.

When its time to move, just transfer as much tank water as you can carry (enough to cover the heater and the filter) into the cooler, then your fish. Plug into your cigarette lighter, and off you go :)

Simple as that.
