sorry for the questions, but i have a few...

1. the pH from the tap is about 7.5. would the use of aragonite put the pH to where it should be?

2. I have a piece of dead LR. meaning its dried out and doesn't smell or anything, but it has alot of green algae on it (from freshwater, tried scrubbing off even with a wirebrush, and still doesn't come off). How would I remove this so I can use it as actual LR in the future? (bleach solutions?)

Those pieces together are about 2 pounds right there, saving me $20 :D I would like to use these pieces (as they would look nice and would save me some money :) ) but if that is not possible I understand.

Thanks in advanced,
tubbs

that rock doesnt look like it would seed like base rock but over time it would become covered in coraline algae.

use a marine buffer to get the pH up to 8.2-8.3 dont rely on substrate (and you will need buffer for water chnages and top off if its at 7.5
