The very edge of the fin turn black (like a black line on the fin) for both of my goldfish . One is on the end of it's dorsal fin. The other one is on it's tail.
They look like they swim normally, and love to eat. But sometimes, maybe they are stress and sit in the bottom of the tank. Anyone can help?????

My Water Condition:
pH=7.2
ammonia=0
nitrite & nitrate=0
temperature=62°F

Is the temperature too cold?
or Is it a problem with the water condition?
Should I do a daily 20% water change?
or Is this a nutrition deficit problem?

HELP!!! 1000x Thanks.

Well, your water parameters (ammonia, nitrite and nitrate) all look fine. I don' t think you need to worry about that or doing water changes.

Have you looked up various types of diseases? Is it possible that we're looking at some sort of fungal or bacterial infection? (Without a picture it's kind of hard to tell.)

Other people know more than I do. Hopefully, they'll chime in.

Welcome to the Tank, Little Comet! I hope your fish get the help they need.

It might be the black smudge disease.
Question: "The black smudges or marks on the fish were caused initially by ammonia burn".
But how come when I check the ammonia level, it's 0.

if it was just recently its very possible the fish got it from the LFS...we had a goldfish that had amonia burn when we got it but we just assumed it was just coloring til one day the black lines disappeared and we figured out it was amonia burn

Your tank is absolutely way too small to sustain those fish. Even though the goldfish are small, goldies in general are very messy fish and have a very large bioload, thus they need large large tanks. It sounds as if your fish are probably suffering from the effects of ammonia poisoning. This is deadly and causes permanent harm even if you save your fish now. You really need to read up on cycling a tank and if you plan to keep your goldfish, you need at least a 30 gallon fish tank fully cycled. Take a look at the link below in my signature for some good cycling information.

well i know personally my fish that had amonia burn had it for quite some time before it went away entirely. IF its amonia burn id say the fish got it from the store seeing as your test results show your amonia at 0.

Oh boy, do NOT look at the pictures they show you for your tank, they are notoriously overly inaccurate and outrageously overstocked!!!!! A 2 gallon tank is acceptable for maybe a betta and a snail. If these goldfish are 1 week old, they would still be fry and eating microscopic foods, so it sounds like that isn't accurate. Your tank is way too small for the goldfish, I know that's not what you want to hear. They are likely suffering from ammonia poisoning already. That's a slow and painful way to die for your fish, I hope you have more compassion than that.
