Well i was scopin out Petco and came across 3 angels and two were close together and i figured they might be a pair since they were pretty big. So i got them or i hope i lost track of the couple because there was a 3rd angel. Anyways here they are:

I hope i got the pair and I also may go back tomorrow and get the other angelfish just cause i feel a little guilty leaving it alone and it may be other angelfish that i thought was a pair.

Beautiful Silvers! Healthy too!
They will be so impressive when fully grown, you have them in a good set-up aswell.

I don't know about getting the other one though, it may or may not be an okay thing. If you do get it then hopefully your 45g will be big enough so that the pair feels comfortable and less willing to beat up the 3rd guy while they are spawning. Or you could always return the 3rd one when you are sure you have the pair...
I think a lot matters on the individual fish about how agressive they will be while spawning. I had a pair and constantly (even when they were not spawing) they would beat up the other 2 in the tank...

Ive decided against getting the 3rd. These two seem to be a friendly pair. Or at least thats what it seems after two days. I also added two blue rams to their tank and all is going well, not to mention i love angelfish now. As for their kind or gene, are they Silver Angels or another kind? They look simular to altums, could they be altums?

Well, for some reason I can't see your pics anymore....

But they really can't be atlums...they would not be sold at any normal petstore. I would have recognized them if they were altums.

Altums do look similar to silver angels but are infact a different species all together. Their are really only 2 species of angelfish. Pterophyllum scalare (our commen angelfish) and Pterophyllum altum (Altum angelfish), there is a third, Pterophyllum leopoldi, that has a shallower body then Altums and Scalares but I don't even know were they would be sold (I don;t know much about P. leopoldi).

All the different types of angelfifh you see out there are pretty much all P. Scalares. They are just, like said, types and not individual species.
