My angels arrived today...

*BOUNCINGS They are awesome. Can't wait to move them out of qt and into the main tank. I'm simply amazed that 5 fish can travel all the way from NY to WY and hit a snow storm here, and still arrive just fine. In fact, they acclimated better than many fish that have made the 5 min trip home from the LFS.

I have to give some thanks to PURE for pointing me towards some great breeders on Aquabid. I'll try to get some pics up next early next week. Can't tonight as I'm off to a Tae Kwon Do tournament for the weekend.

Ty all, and yes it is snowing in NE Wyoming. In fact, we are under a winter storm watch. Supposed to get 4-5" tonight with 12"+ over the weekend. Actually, it is kinda late for winter here. We usually get some snow earlier. We just have weird weather. It would not surprise me if we were to have another week of 80+ next week. Or -15 either for that matter..

Yeah, you normally can't go wrong from getting a pair (or more) from good breeders.

Well after you get done beating heads together, you best be getting some pictures up.

How long should I keep them in quarantine? I'm dying to get them into the main tank. Usually, I keep LFS fish in QT for about two weeks, but I'm a little concerned about keeping 5 angels in a 10g for very long, even if they are juvies.

I normally go with two weeks quarantine for tank-bred fish and six or eight weeks for wild-caught fish (after a problem with some wild-caught fish).

OK, here is my first attempt at capturing them on film. They are still in the 10g QT tank right now. Excuse the shots, some are not the best.

I wish I could get a better picture to truly do them justice. Maybe I'll have to get out the Rebel and give it a try. My wife swears that one of them has a picture of a guy eating a banana on it's side.

One more week, and they get to move to the big tank.

I didn't see that you had rummey nose tetras the first time I looked in here. I love those fish. Anyways those koi angels pretty much convinced me that I want an all angel tank when I upgrade in about a month or two.

Yeah, the 5 angels and 5 rummy noses are in the QT tank right now. I have about 12 more rummys in the main tank. And the angels will be the centerpiece fish. Also planning on some bolivian rams to round out the SA theme.
