This morning I went to feed my fish and it appeared that a female Odessa Barb wedged herself between 2 rocks and got stuck for who knows how long (At the most 7 hours). When I moved the rocks for her to get out she swam away and I noticed her tail was torn (I'm assuming bitten by my other fish while she was immobile). To my dismay, I also noticed a patch of scales to be white and fluffy! I can't really be more descripive than that but the rest of her seemed to look fine. And I am pretty sure where the patch is was the same spot in contact with the rock. I think she must have rubbed the scales off and exposed some tissue underneath which "fluffed" up because it also rubbed the rock. I am still going to place her in the hospital tank to heal. However, does my deduction sound accurate or could my fish have been so stressed out that she caught a desease? How can I tell? Does anyone else have a comparable story?
