I have a male betta in a 1 gallon tank, and I've trained him (along with a female in a separate tank) to eat from my hand.
I usually hold a small piece of freeze dried krill/plankton between my fingers, and let him pull it away from me.
Lately, he's started attacking my fingers first. First it was a few exploratory bites, and then he actually bit my finger hard (well, hard for a betta ), and hung on to my skin for a bit. Then he attacked his food and pulled it away from me.
I just thought that was wicked cool, and I wanted to share that with ya'll
Oh yeah, no fingers were harmed in performing this experiment!
