I got my 65 up and running. Let me know what else you think I should have in it. I'm going to be stocking peacock cichlids.

It is still a little cloudy but you should be able to see ok I'll take better pictures when it clears up. The filter on there is only tempary I just ordered a Emperor 400 and it should be here soon.

Thanks..the sand is $4.00 play sand from Home Deopot washed, washed and washed...still a little dusty but not too bad.

The really cool rock I got from Jessica (Fishgeek), but you should be able to find at your LFS.

I need something in there for hight do you think more rock or would something else do the trick and still look really nice.

Yeah my poor husband had to use some elbow greese...I can't reach the bottom of this tank either. Some days it really sucks being short.

Do they make that in a fake plant. I don't do real plants because of my black thumbs. ;)

Is that silicate sand. I am also using play sand from lowes. It is silicate sand and cuz of that I am having a hard time controling my brown Algae. Just as a warning look out for brown alage in your tank it appears after a few months.

yeah if u could tell me what silcate sand is that would be really helpful. i have some of the same play sand from home depot, just havent put it in my tank yet. it will go in my planted tank so i dont think the algea should get toooo outta hand. but knowing what about it certainly couldnt hurt. any info would be much appreciated =)

You were looking at getting some height to your tank... you could try a lava rock or stack up some pieces of flagstone. You can get the flagstone at a local garden place pretty cheap, just make sure you wash it off. I just redid my tank with that stuff after a lot of critisizm on my old setup, and it looks great. I'll post pics in a little bit.
