 One of corys, a plain bronze aeneus, is actually quite old. I treated him a few weeks ago for this condition but he appears to have it again. No other fish in the tank seems to have it. Hopefully it's nothing too serious, but then again he is old.

When he swims, he swims in a corkscrew. It looks like he's gonna divebomb something and apparently has no control over his swimming pattern. Last treatment was with a bombardment of fungal and parasite meds along with Maracyn two. Since corys are armored, I a little bit than less doubled the meds in a 5 gal tank. In about 6 days he was back to normal. However, about a week or so later he seems to be at it again. I'll catch him in a plant upside down or corkscrewing across the tank. I am most likely betting it's some sort of internal infection involving his swim bladder. He shows no other apparent signs of illness except his eyes appear a bit cloudy, but he's had that forever and I just let that go as old age and maybe cataracts, haha . I'll probably continue treatment with MarOxy and Maracyn Two for another round.

Unfortunately he seems healthy still but I have to set up my quarantine tank, which is in the garage. And since it's getting so cold out, I have to put a new mega heater in the 5 gal hospital tank. He seems ok although at times he seems a bit off balance. I wonder what type of infection will affect a swim bladder. I believe it's an infection instead of a defect since he did seem to improve since his last medication treatment.
