One of my julii corys died last night. When i removed the fish from the tank, it looked normal except it was dead! I tested my water, and everything was fine, with an amonia with 0ppm. My pleco and the 2 other corys look to be healthy. Do fish just ever die for no reason? Please respond so that i can do a water change if something is wrong. Thanks.

P.S.
Now in my signature, I only have 2 corys

Fish dont die for no reason, how big was it? Not alot of info to go on. You can do a water change just in case, check other fish to see if they are ok and if nobody else dies it might have been a weak immune system or starved.

i just had a cory sort of "explode" on me the other day:( he went from normal to bloated and dead in like 5 minutes right in front of my eyes. i dont know what happened, water was fine, all my other cories were swimming normally and are still all fine. he wasnt that old only a few months. very, very strange:(

(not to chage the subject, but thanks fishlover25! that asskissin smiley just made my day, hehehe:D)

it doesnt seem to be a re-occuring problem, my other cories are still fine.:D and when i bought them they were all very tiny. i know they could have been there for a while, but i didnt remember seeing them the last time i went.

I disagree with Jawz. I think sometimes fish just die for no apparant reason. (sure SOMETHING killed them...but not anything that we could have done something about or seen ahead of time) Neons are the ones you hear about most often just dying for no apparant reason.

Hey maybe the little guy had a heart condition and it was his time to go right??
