I just got my Cynotilapia Afra Hai Reef's and Pseudotropheus sp Flamebacks. There was an extra one of each in the box, so I have 11 HR's and 9 FB's. One of the flamebacks doesn't look too good though. There's a slight problem though, because the biggest fb is over 2", and the smallest hr is .75". I'm afraid to put them in together because of this size difference. I've read that the fb's are the more aggressive anyways, so I don't want the big one ruling the tank. Here's some pics so you can see what I mean, keep in mind these were quick shots just to give ya an idea, and I still need to clean the glass!

This is the best looking hr so far

This is the biggest one

This pic was taken without the flash so it washes them out, but you can see the size difference amongst the fb's

Right now I've got the 4 biggest fb's in the 5.5 gallon tank, the rest of the fish (5fb's, 11hr's) in the 38 gallon tank. Should I add the other 4 later today, or wait a while?

Everyone is in the tank together now, except for one flameback that doesn't look too hot. I left it in the 5.5 gallon by itself. The others are doing good so far. There is definitely two male flamebacks, and they are duking it out. The one is the biggest in the group though, and is bigger than the other one by at least 3/4". I'm debating if I should remove the big one, because he's bigger than all of the rest and he's chasing everyone! I already talked to the lfs, and they said they would take any of them that I didn't want. Here's some more pics.

These two I'm assuming are both male, they are squabbling for that corner cave. I like the smaller one better because he's more proportional, and his personality is better.

I thought there was gonna be a fight right here!

This one came in with the flamebacks, but it looks nothing like the other flamebacks. It actually looks more like the afras. I know its probably way too soon to tell, but anyone have an idea?

I love these guys!

And here's a full tank shot, although I hate the rock work. I should have made it like I originally planned, and used small pieces of rock to stack up and form caves. Hubby insisted that that would take too much rock, so I gave in and now I wish I wouldn't have. Oh well, he had a good point though, when I said I didn't like it he said 'well your gonna re-do it in 2 or 3 months anyways' :)

Thanks guys, I really like them. They've got lots of personality, and they are stunning! I can't wait until they color up :)
