Sampson was first over a natural-coloured, lighter gravel when I brought him home, and most recently (month, maybe?) his tank has been bare-bottom. I finally sucked it up last night and bought some black gravel for the tank...and WOW. I knew it would improve his appearance, but this boy is seriously the most stunning little thing right now...

Sadly, not many right now. I have a 120gal, two 55gals, a 46gal, a 33gal, a 20gal long, and a 10gal growout. Will have to add another 5- or 6-foot tank in the coming months though, a 55gal isn't going to last Baxter (see other thread) very long.

its amazing how a different color background,substrait or other items in the tank can change the apperence. he sure is stunning.

*cough cough* I remember someone a good while back saying something about dark colored substrates *laughingc hehe, that's why my Gold Saum looks so darn sexy lol

I tell you, you've got some of the finest specimens I've ever seen. And this one is no exception, he's just awesome!
