here is some of the fry I already have... 14 born on 12/06/03, 3 born on 12/17/03, and 3 born on 12/18/03

in my breeding tank I have 1 female that has fry born on 01/06/03, I think she is a bit mad at the pleco right there. her babies are in the shell in the lower right of the pic.

I also have 3 other females that show signs of having eggs in their shells

I think I am gonna be overrun with fry...

Great photos, my Ocellatus have just started breeding but the fry vanished after a week! They are in a Tang community so I am not suprised. The further the fry moved from the safety of their shell, the more interested my Calvus became. Maybe I will set up my ten gallon and try and raise a few.

Same happened to my fry, within 4 days they had vanished. Surprising how far the fry were allowed to travel from the shell by the mother. Supect either other male occies or the synos.....

great photos and lovely looking fry! congrats

sometimes you can sex them by looking at the last rays of the dorsal fin, the females will have white... otherwise males will be larger than females of the same age and the males will also be wider...
