did they have any symptoms? I've had zebra danios for a while, and they are pretty hard to kill. that fact that 3 died at the same time is pretty concerning. any chance there was some kind of contaminent put into the water?

See the night before they all seemed fine except 1 and then I realized it was dead. The only thing I added to my tank is algae remover and water dechlorinator and this is all when I moved my tank to my room. But now my tetras are not moving except for twitching and eating.

I'd recommend some serious water changes if you don't want to lose your tetras. I'm not an aquaria expert by any stretch, but it certainly sounds like something, either the algae remover, the dechlorinator (unlikely) or something with the move has contaminated your tank.

I agree, I think it was definitly something to do with the move. I use chlorine remove for all my water changes and haveheard of the alge remover, but have not heard of any deaths from them. Did anything happen when you moved your tank? i.e. did you clean it with some sort of cleaner, or maybe something fell into the tank without your knowledge?

I'm wondering if there was either something wrong with the algae remover or maybe an overdose of it... Otherwise, maybe stirring up the sediment released some built up pockets of toxic gas (normally a problem for sand tanks, I think).

Absent any other information, my money is on the algae remover.

Yeah you know I think it was an overdose from the algae remover because it says use so and so amount for every 50g's and I estimated how much less to use. I just did a water change and my fish seem fine. I also turned off my lights for their tank and they seem to be more active.

I doubt anything fell in without my knowledge except maybe the top of the filter but that was way before I put the fish back into the tank. All I did was rinse the gravel of any excess food, I didnt use any cleaners.

Dying quickly again isnt cause they arent hardy. I would blame the fish but find out what cause it. Sry that sounded a little snappy. That wasnt the idea. As far as using an algae remover you shouldnt need to if your tank was "heathy". Check your parameters and do a water change. Chemicals dont in any way help your tank. I highly reccomend you quit using them.

Well I checked the water parameters and it showed ammonia:.25, nitrite: 0, nitrate: 0. See I would go and buy oto'sd for my tank to eat the algae but I dontknow if they would eat the kinda algae in my tank.
