Got him about a year ago from the world famous Dave Soares ( his site )

He's the red tail variety, and these are actually not the best colors I've seen him in. I think he's bewildered because I just yanked out all the overgrown java moss in the tank, will be replanting soon with some more interesting species.

matt, right?

I looked at your gallery at corydorasworld... I'm impressed by the quality of your photos. Got any suggestions?

I used a pretty new olympus for my pics. I waited til night, turned off all lights, and used a broom as a tripod haha. I turned the shutter speed as far down as it would go, turned off the flash, and used the macro setting... still looks like crap =/

Yes matt :p

Basically i take my Sony Cybershot (not the best when it comes to shots like this) get right up to the glass (after its been cleaned), set it on macro mode and snap about 100+ pics. I then weed out then ones i don't like lol. I also turn flash off, room lights off, tank lights on. I basically play around and take hundreds of shots until i get some i like. :)The fish have to work with you too ;)

I think that pic above would be great lighting wise, just work on the focus.

Thanks for the compliment on the pics though. :D

I will be, I'm gonna work on getting the tank planted first, then I'll hit dave up for some females from different lines if hes got any. otherwise it may be awhile locating females.

I've got 2 10W PCs on the tank right now... everything died that I planted before except the java fern and moss. THink Im gonna throw down a sand/shultz substrate and try again with CO2.

thanks for the tips matt =)
