My new Betta in his new All Glass 2 1/2 gal.

Just got a betta today and a All Glass 2 1/2 tank. I got a red one, best looking one that had at the lfs. Good looking little guy, really colorful too. Here are some pics of the tank and they betta.

I personally think that you could really liven that tank up with perhaps a real plant (unless that is real) and a nice hidey hole.

Nope, its a fake cardamine, what did u have in mind for a hidey hole?

A little cave of some-sort, anything that catches your fancy really, i think if you spruced it up abit, you could make it a little more interesting for your beautiful Betta, and make it more enjoyable to watch =D

Sounds like an idea, but do Bettas really use caves?

yes...you have to be careful not to get one too small that they might get stuck in because they need to get to the surface for air. A thick clump of plants is usually what my betta likes as opposed to a real cave...

so a group of plants or a rock cave. sounds good. ill have to play around a bit.

that betta looks like a good one. Like what chazwik said you could do a little sprucing up

You could even make your own little shelter with some nice, not so sharp rocks! Thats always fun.

im done, 1 plant on each side and rock cave in the middle, not much room to play in a little 2 12/ gal. pics posted in a minute.

I know, i like it to, so does my betta, hes already swimming throught the cave. Yea, maybe a small gold snail. thanks for all the good ideas!

Anytime! I love seeing peoples tanks progress! And i'm sure your Betta will love you for it! I think a snail will be a nice touch, and give your little pal some company
