My new GBR's (Pics)

I got 3 new german blue rams through the mail today, they are still small (about 1inch), and I have just got them into my tank

There are 2 females and 1 male.
Here are the pics:
Female: Is that her ovipositer, if so is it normal to be showing, even as small as she is??

beautiful GBRs! i am less help than BV in answering questions, of course. i love the blue flecks, though, they are so stunning.

Yea only the female have the blue specks. Some people say the females are not as nice as the males, but I prefer the females becuase they get pink bellies in breeding time.

great pictures, but what im wondering is...do you have 2 different types of substrate in that tank? sand and...flourite?

Nope, its just a fine black gravel. What makes you say that, Katie?

Lol, no that just little bits of food, i had just fed them. Also on the last pic where the male is, that is slate on the bottom not sand, just in case you was wondering lol.

They look great, good luck with them. I love rams, I can't wait for these fry to color up, or at least get big enough for my crappy cam to take a decent pic of them! LOL They like to hide too. My adults ignore caves for the most part, they are usually out in the open or just sitting in the back among the fake plants.

go_dawgs- i got them from a breeder here, they were real cheap too. He only charged me for a pair but he sent me 3.

I didnt think they were gonna make it when i first got them, they were in a bag with about an inch of water and it was FREEZING, one of the females was laying on her side and breathing heavily. I floated them for about half an hour, put them in the tank, went away, came back turned on the light and they looked really bright and happy.

Yeah Virgo, mine never go in the cave they just roam around looking for food all day. I Love them!!
