My new trick!

My new trick for getting lettuce and cucumber to the bottom for my plec , although you guys probably thought of it a long time ago:

Cut a hole in the centre of a slice of potato (which sinks) and thread the lettuce, cucumber, or baby marrow (which doesn't sink) through the hole.

I only worked this out tonight while trying (again) to position vegetables under a rock.

thats what i was wondering, and how long before you plan to take it out ? seems it might go bad pretty quick

Nah, the plec doesn't eat potato. I put the vegetables in after lights out, but before the room lights go out, and remove the potato and leftover vegetables the next morning.

You're right Lightening, uneaten vegetables must be removed quickly, but that goes for ALL uneaten food in the tank.
