I was told I should post these even though I'm not too happy with how they came out. The glass cleaner we used left streaks, the flash kept getting in the way, and the little buggers were begging for food, so between them staying at the top of the water and turning every time I'd take a pic, they didn't turn out so well, but alas, here they are...

LOL Isn't he though Jess? LOL :p

iap, thanks :) why would they freak her out? everyone loves them (besides Matt :p ) even anyone who just stops by, they always comment on how beautiful they are. Hubby didn't mind, Oscar (the albino) was my rescue that got me into oscars when I didn't really even want one, then Hubby rescued Surge (the big red tiger) from a nasty, tiny, little cube in a disgusting store, and we love them sooo much! Neptune was (as mentioned) FishGeek's and I always commented on how pretty he was and how much I liked him, so when she had to let him go, I knew I had to have him. :p Even my mom loves them... I'm sure once she saw the personalities these guys have, she'd love them. :)

I dunno. They just would. I think it's their size that would turn her off. That's what would take them from cute to scary in her mind. Maybe I'll ask her next time we're both at the LFS.

But, you don't have to convince me! After all, I'm one of y'all! ;)

Meh, the only bad thing about their size is the ammount of tankspace and filtration that they require. I love big fish though. :p Good luck convincing her! They really are worth it, there's nothing like the personality of a SA cichlid! :D

HAHAHAHAHA... that's soooo verry true! LOL I love everything ginormous or microscopic LOL... I still don't know how I ended up with 3 medium dogs... they really do pick you... although Lexus was SUPPOSED to be Rott/Dane, so I was TRYING for my big dog there LOL.

But yes, despite the akward feel of that statement LOL, it's true, although it's not all big, (and this is going to sound worse) but if it's not big, it has to be super tiny. (LMAO) I love my Galaxy Rasboras and shrimp too, and I still want a teacup yorkie. :p As far as my horse dreams, it's all drafts or minis. I guess I just love the extreems. :p

Humm... I always wanted a little fawn chi and a big fawn dane, I'm not the biggest fan of dobes, too skrawny LOL, but I do like MinPins for some reason. :p I want to name the dane something like Tiny and the chi something like Brutus LOL, just for the irony of it all. But I have really kept that as a thought since I would rather have a yorkie and a bullmastiff or something LOL, the chis are just not exactly what I want and the lifespan of a pure dane puts me off.

Thanks BV! :) I love the little suckers :p They're spoiled.

Yep, there were 4 sevs, but we lost one to some odd type of infection she got in a scrape that just woulden't clear up. Now her BF is lonely and not all that happy and we have 2 males and 1 female that neither male want's anything to do with LOL, she's even tried dancing for the oscars to get some attention somewhere and noone is interested. I'm thinking about letting them go and getting something else, maybe another BGK since I really miss mine, either that or maybe a orange pike cichlid.
