My O was so white it looked like he saw a ghost!!!

I dont know whats the matter w/ my oscar! I just came back from dropping of my pacu at a pet store and i looked at him and he had like big white spots on him! Also around his eye was white! But then i put in some melaFix in because his fin started to rot a couple of days ago and i looked at him again and he was back to normal....is he dieing?????? is he stressed???? HELP!...i dont know what to do and whats wrong w/ him!!!!!

Not sure if I can totaly answer you question or not, but I know that My Oscar does change colors from time to time, he even gets really grey/white sometimes. Mostly he stays olive,black and red, but even those colors vary in brightness. You might want to check some disease databses just to double check. If it is some sort of disease, it most likey sounds like it could be some kind of fungus. Melafix will help, but I would check just to make sure.
