my pleco is breaking my heart

I've had it over 10 yrs probably. he's never been sick. i just had a fight with ich. He was infected along with the guppies. I lost all but 5 guppies. The survivors seem to be thriving okay but my pleco who i thought was pulling through only seems to be going down hill.
AFter the ich subsided, the pleco's eyes became round and protruding. I thought he had pop eye. I started using Maracyn and Mardel. I'm on the 4 days and the swellign in his eyes have gone down but now i notice he's pale and his eyes have sunken in. Like literally, the bottom of his eyes seem to be pulled away from his head.
I'm new to posting pictures but i've taken some and i'm going to try to post them.

I hate to say it, but it may be that he's just getting old and the ich didn't help matters any. I would just try to keep him as comfortable as possible and make sure he's eating (be sure to give him a varied diet including blanched veggies).

+1 on bassbonediva. Lovely fish, but he is probably just nearing the end of his lifespan.
What size tank do you have?
