My Tank Updates

Well my tank has been going good and i ordered my gravel cleaner and check valves last night. the guy on ebay that was supposed to ship my tubing supposivley went on vacation so its been a week now and the guy finally said he shipped the item. no problem for me though i dont need it just yet
anyways the pleco finally started to eat on the cucumbers i put into the tank and the oscar is eating good and there both very active. so for now my tank is going good and i hope it stays this way

do you have liquid test kit for your tank? its important to know the tank's water parameters and to keep them in check.

no but after the tank is completely cycled im going to take it into petsmart to have it tested

you wouldnt know when its done cycling because you cannot test the water...unless of course you have the cheaper test strips, but those barely tell you things. liquid tests are where its at

i have a liquid test kit for my underground pool. it says the ph and the chlorine and stuff but i also have the test strips too. will those work?

I remember reading a guide a few days ago that explicitly said NOT to use pool maintenance tools to check fish tank chemicals.

Really? oh i didnt know i guess ill go buy the liquid test kit today when i get like 30 bucks

yes walmart has something like it (exactly like it) and it looks like the API master FW test kit.
