my tank: what should i add?

hi, i have a 65 gallon tank with the following fish:


1 gold severum
1 kissing gourami
1 festive cichlid
6 giant danios (my school)
3 clown loaches
1 red tail black shark
1 hill-stream loach

i was thinking of adding 2 more giant danios, making the school 8. does any1 have any other suggestions?

I wouldnt add anything. When the fish get bigger the tank is going to be fully stocked, and then some.

really? i dont think the tank will be fully stocked. i think i could at least add some giant danios. :/

eh i would not add anything either you should get a pic of it cause i dunno most sizes of those fish but i know a bit about there sizes of a few of those fish but try to get a pic

yeah, adding more fish might be pushing thw limits. The kissing gourami, severum, and loaches can all become 8"+ when fully grown and the festive cichlid can reach 6"+. I think you can add a couple more giant danios without any problems.

You should be adding nothing till your fish are all healthy again - worry about your clown loaches first.

yea, i know that, im just thinking of new fish for after the clowns get better.

Well at the rates your clowns are going, I would think about maybe replacing the dead with cories, you can get a lot of them in their and it will keep the bottom of the tank interesting and full.

wouldnt some of the fishi have kill the cories?

I dont know, the cories can probably hold their own as long as they get big enough, most get 3 inches, some can get more.

few fish are interested in a mouthfull of pointy sharp cory fins.the only fish i have ever seen bother corys are dwarf cichlids and they usualy give up after they figure out that the corys won't go away.
