When I was a little boy, my mom and I had a fishtank with this really neat bottom feeder.
it was @ 4" long
shape was similar to a pleco
but did not have the pleco mouth
and had small fins.
the fish was white and deep brown/black
and was striped laterally with uniform 0.2" alternating stripes.
the scales were pointed out like a rasp.
what was this fish?
