My wife and I are thinking about switching out our gravel for sand. We got colored gravel when we purchased the tank and neither of us really like it. We like the look of sand and want to switch to it. Our tank is mostly Guppies, with some barbs, a couple small Plecos, a couple Borneo Suckers, and 2 Mystery Snails. We want to make sure the sand will not be a problem for what we have. We think the fish should be fine as we have researched how to maintain a tank of sand but we haven't seen anything about how well Snails are for sand. Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks.

I'm no where near knowledgeable about snails, but I think they should be ok. They live in similar types of substrate in the wild I think, but don't take my word for it. Hope someone with more know-how jumps in and answers.
