Name That Fishy #who knows

Lol, hey guys, I am not sure of the name of this cichlid at all, I am thinking it is a type of peacock cichlid, just from the pictures I have seen that resemble it. Can anyone give me the scientific and common name of this fish?

Looks much like a young Sciaenochromis fryeri (Electric Blue Hap) male coloring up to me. Though he might be a little stressed...how long have you had him? Here is some pics of my young male i used to have when he was coloring up:

i also think thats a electric blue because the one i had looked just like yours toam, he didnt get a chance to color up because he was killed. *thumbsdow

I can't say as he is stressed, there has been some dominant role changes in the tank, but he has remained absolutely aloof of it all. Not one fish bothers him, and he's been displaying his fins, and that color of his for weeks now. I don't believe that he is stressed out at all.

My friend has an electric blue cichlid, at least that is what he calls it, but it has horizontal blue lines across it, mine has vertical metallic blue lines, I agree on the male suggestion, as his anal fin is spotty with egg spots. He is also around 2 and a bit inches long now.

On c-mans last pic you can see that the fish has vertical lines not horizontal.

Ehh, weird looking peacock to me, maybe its just a weird angle. Hard to tell from that pic, any more of him?
