How big are they? They look to me like albino cherry barbs. Cherry and golden barbs aren't all that nippy, not like tiger barbs and such.

They are about 2.5 to 3.0 inches. I actually dont think that they are barbs or they could be i dont know. Nobody seems to know!

Its definitely a barb...all of them aren't aggressive.

My first guess was Rosy barb, but after looking through some pictures, I'm not so sure. They could be female rosy barbs. Are they shiny looking?

They definitely look alot like those Red Glass Barbs. That is the closest I can get to an ID. The pictures of Rosy barbs and Gold barbs don't look as close as the Red Glass Barbs that LWB linked to.

Cherry barbs are another example of non-aggressive barbs. My 3 are harmless. :)

Could be Rosy barbs then.

Here are some pictures I found:

When you google "rosy barb" in the images, you get alot of different shades of red and orange. So yours could indeed be Rosy barbs. I think they are more common than Red Glass Barbs...because I see Rosies everywhere, but never Red Glass Barbs. :)

Enjoy them and get a couple more if you can! And I think the 2 in the picture are females, from what I can tell by googling them. The males are more "rosy".

Have seen rosy barbs many times, that's not them. They look like adult golden barbs to me. I'm not sure what red glass barbs are - there are many manmade barbs floating around.
